The Campground at Bethel Woods offers a unique and historic concert and cultural experience, set amidst beautiful grounds and a compelling connection to the iconic Woodstock festival. Guests consistently praise the friendly staff, excellent sound quality, and well-maintained facilities, while enjoying the surrounding museum and outdoor atmosphere.
Seeing a show in the footprint of where Woodstock happened is cool. Doing so at a venue that has great sound and lighting, an awesome museum, is easy to get in and out of, and is staffed by wonderful and helpful people who dig music is super cool. We came from Buffalo to see Billy Strings and I'll definitely be back again!
Absolutely amazing place. Very clean and well kept and the event was Absolutely amazing. I went to see Dark Star Orchestra for the 1st time with my husband and it was well worth the trip. Cant wait for our next adventure. All the staff was friendly and very helpful.
The museum tour is great, loaded with features about the environment in the US leading up to 1969 and the evolving culture. They have lots of really cool artifacts on display and three different movies you can watch about the times and the festival itself. It would be nice if the café offered more more vegan options, a falafel wrap is your only choice. How about a beyond burger, maaaaaaaan? Peace, love and veggie grease, right? Thanks for a great afternoon with kids regardless. ??
This is a must see for everyone who was alive in the 60s. We visited yesterday and were amazed by the exhibits. I recommend the golf cart tour. It was a wonderful experience. Our guides Denise and David were awesome.
One of the most beautiful outdoor venues I have ever been to. All of the staff was beyond helpful and super friendly. I can't wait to come back!
Every year is always alot of fun! Loud and crowded but organized. Lots of food, drinks and merchandise. I love my summers here for concerts!
Highly recommend for those who love music, history, and culture. I waited too long to visit and regret not coming sooner. Like the festival that was meant for Woodstock but happened in Bethel, everything has its purpose and right time. Even in rain and cold, the museum tour was very valuable. The quest for freedom led many to the libertinism. Most of those 450k people transformed a generation—they did! Some kept conservative values, others lost themselves in fleeting pleasures. Knowing the outcome, I doubt they’d do it again. The 60s freedom fight, amid wars and deaths, led us to today’s ideological war after 1969. They couldn’t have imagined it. The ideological battle is big, I inow, but the internal existential conflict is greater. Just a thought from a simple cultural admirer. Peace ???
One of the best organized museums I have ever visited. Taking you through the decade before Woodstock, the back story of the music, the planning, and enveloping you in the whole experience. So much inside information and the guides were very knowledgeable and loved to share stories!
Love it here! The location is historic, the venue perfect, and the employees are so nice. Very family friendly - my now 5 year old has been coming here since he was a baby and loves the lawn. They also host kids concerts & fun festivals. Great variety of concerts all year round and excellent beer selection.
Excellent historic venue to see some of the best bands out there. The museum is really well done. Be sure to hit the gift shop on your way out!
