From 5 stat to 1 star in an hour... laid down for about 45 mins and I started getting bit. Went down to talk to them. They kept my money and said I was lying. For what? I have geotagged photos. Submitting it tomorrow.
Love this hotel. Best parts are excellent water, super clean rooms, windows that actually open, and great wifi. Close to restaurants. Perfect.
The people running the hotel are great. It’s clean. The breakfast was fine. No eggs, but everything else you would expect. This place is 20 years past a needed renovation. The tub was leaking. I had to fight to get the shower to work. Caulk covered most of the mold. The beds and bedding were fine. It’s just old and worn out. Note: it’s cheaper on Booking.com.
March 21, 2026 ****CAUTION***Avoid this place at all costs*** On Thursday, March 19th, early morning, I needed a place to stay. I was tired and I needed to pull over and sleep. I needed a hotel room. I pulled over to a gas station. I called delta sky miles customer service and I called the Days Inn By Wyndham Wurstboro before I booked my stay. I asked if there was going to be any fees for early check in and if my room was available. I told them I was only going to be there from 2:30am to 8:30am. I had to get back on the road. The manager told me the early check in fee would be waived and that my room was available. I then booked the room around 1:39am and I arrived to the hotel and check in at 2:30am. The delta sky miles itinerary stated I would have to pay a hold deposit of $100, that would be returned to me. The manager charged me $110 at the hotel. I asked him what the extra ten dollars was for and he said it was a fee. I didn’t know for what. I assumed it was for maybe taxes or something. He said the $100 would be returned to me after check out in a few days. I went to my room. When I checked out, I went to drop of the room key. After dropping off the key I asked the manager for a copy of the receipts I signed. I signed two sheets with my signature and initials. He did not want to give me the receipts. He was very reluctant. He finally gave me one receipt, but not the other. I kept on requesting the other copy because I was entitled to it. He finally provided a copy after much dispute. When handing me the final copy he states that I won’t be getting $100 back from my deposit that now I’ll be getting only $90 back. I asked why? And he said because there is a $20 dollar fee now. So he subtracted $10 from my deposit. That doesn’t make any sense. Im suppose to get my deposit back in full. If there was a $20 dollar fee you would have charged me $120 dollars when I checked in. It seems his ego was hurt because I was asking for my receipt and he didn’t want to give it to me so he is being punitive now. So when I get home, I call corporate to report what was being done to me. They told me that they couldn’t get involved because the hotel was a private branch or private franchise. They told me I would have to work the refund out on my own with the hotel. However, the corporate customer service agent did call the hotel. He spoke to the manager and the manager told him the early check in fee was waived, so I should be lucky. And the $20 dollar charge was for a room upgrade fee because my room wasn’t available. This is not true. The manager never told me I was being upgraded at all. He told me I would be getting my $100 back in a few days. There are no fees on the registration receipt I was given. He was lying basically at this point. To me this is fraud. Since corporate can’t do anything I called another Wyndham customer service number. I was told the same thing. They couldn’t do anything and I have to work it out with the hotel manager. Then I called delta sky miles. I booked my hotel with them. My sky miles paid for the whole stay. I had to pay $0 dollars. I live on a fixed income because Im disabled. I don’t spend money like that. I explained the situation to delta sky miles customer service. They contacted the manager at the hotel. Now it seems that the hotel managers ego was really being hurt. Because now he subtracted more money from the deposit. Now he told the sky miles rep that I was only going to get back $40 from the deposit because now he is charging me the early check in fee. He is doing so now because I am reporting his fraud. He is saying that he charged me $20 for a room up grade and $50 for an early check in fee. Both of which are lies. If so he would have charged me $170 at check instead of $110. That makes no sense. The $100 was always meant to be a hold and returned back in full. I put in a fraud dispute with #AmericanExpress. They got me my money back in full, all $110. Avoid this place at all costs. They are running a fraud scheme here. the manager and all employees are complicit. Be very careful!!
Rooms are clean but outdated, hallway has an odd aroma but for the price and being so close to a lot of hiking trails and the beauty of the surrounding area it can't be beat. Prices are fair and employees were pleasant.
Absolutely loved this hotel! The view was so nice to wake up to each morning. The continental breakfast had a wide variety of food. The location was great bcz it was close enough to everything. There was one issue where the ppl across the hallway were being loud, rude and actually set off the smoke alarm, but the manager took care of it immediately by telling them to pack and leave! I liked that bcz he made us feel important. We will be back!
Excellent clean accommodations for a fair price. The reception desk, front end are helpful as well as the cleaning staff, ever ready to lend a hand if needed. Great restaurants in town and a grocery store across the road. Fridge, freezer, microwave and coffee machine in room. As well as a decent work space.
The room was okay, with just the basics. However, there was a random pair of glasses there when we arrived. It could belong to one of the workers or someone who stayed previously, but it did not inspire confidence either way. The room was clean-ish; we brought an HDMI cord to watch movies and it was incredibly dusty behind the TV with spider webs for added spice. 5/5 to the workers who brought up some extra towels and soap - they were really friendly. The breakfast was meh - 4/10 mostly because the waffle batter had a terrible bitter taste that my daughter described as "orange juice in the batter". Also, there were fruit flies in the juice, which the woman at the front desk did not seem concerned about and brushed off saying they like the sweetness (paraphrased). She was helpful in getting us additional items like toilet paper (1) and garbage bags, but did so with very heavy sighs each time. When we arrived, we requested an additional pillow to which she said "there are 6 to 8 pillows in the room" with much attitude. The pool also has a stronger than usual odor of clorox and an additional funk. I know this is rated as a 2 star, but it could easily be a 3 star if there was more attention to detail, thoroughness, and generosity. The location is quiet and not too far from food places.
Stayed here with my son the night of the Weird Al concert at Bethel Woods. Was able to check in after midnight with no problem, beds and bathroom were clean, room a/c was cold and the filters were cleaned off, which is a rarity in hotel rooms. Would definitely stay again for future shows.
Out of the way, great location for us. Staff friendly and very accommodating Rooms very clean
