Trout Town Inn consistently receives mixed reviews, with recent concerns primarily revolving around malfunctioning air conditioning and poor customer service. While some guests praise the cleanliness and location, recurring issues with maintenance and responsiveness from management significantly impact the overall experience.
Looked forward to staying in Trout Town hitting the river first thing in the AM! Can't be too hopeful for a good night's sleep because the AC is way too loud!!! Im sure the hotel knows about the issue looking in reviews the " loud" AC is mentioned. Texted Called Emailed no response? Do not stay here until it gets fixed!! You can buy a brand new AC on Amazon for 150$ no excuse for the loud AC. Wife not happy makes me not happy especially because I picked the place. Signed DW Additional issue at 11:57 a very loud siren started sounding outside for about 3 minutes? Than the fire department showed up outside? Don't know why would be nice to have some information about the siren when checking in.
Room C air conditioner unit is unbearably loud, and we can't get a response from anyone via phone or text. It's too hot to turn it off, and the noise is headache inducing.
We stayed in suite A. The room was clean, comfortable and very well maintained. The Inn is located within walking distance to shops, food, drinks and a small convenience store- everything we needed and more. We will definitely be visiting again.
We had 2 rooms, suite A and room B. Suite A has a small separate living room. Both rooms were very clean and comfortable and nicely decorated. The little corner store and some restaurants right across the street and quick walk to the water for fishing. Would definitely stay here again.
We just left after being hung up by the owner because we found a roach in our shower when we returned from dinner (see photos). He claimed “it probably came in from a window” which is100% untrue as I saw it come up from the drain when I turned on the light and after snapping a photo it scurried back down. He could have cared less and couldn’t understand why I was disgusted. Now we have a 2 hour drive home and have to deal with everything possibly being roach contaminated because who knows how deep this issue goes. As an FYI we stayed in Suite E, but there's never just one roach, so I'm sure each room could have an issue. I did report to the town as well as the owner did not seem to care nor did he seem to want to take future action. Hopefully those who also stayed this past weekend (11/15-11/17) see this so they can decontaminate their items.
Just stayed there in April and May. In April i told them the hot water wasn't working. they never fixed it. i got there in May and had the same problem. The owner just kept avoiding me until my stay was over. Terrible customer service. there are nicer places in town that are not as expensive. I was a regular customer not any more!
We stayed in Suite A. The decor was charming and everything was clean. The AC worked well and it covered any traffic noise from Route 17. There was an abundance of pillows, but they were a little flat. The bed was comfy. We hardly watched TV but there was an abundance of channels to choose from while we digested our dinner from the Italian restaurant within walking distance. Took a walk to Do Good Spirits and brought it back here to relax in the yard. Later, while standing outside stargazing, a skunk brushed against my husband's leg. I thought it was a cat for a split second. When we reacted, it scampered onto the porch sniffing around. We retreated to the car until it left. That could have gone oh so wrong!! But now we have a funny story to tell during our adventure here. Thank you for the stay!
Loved our stay. We stayed in Suite A. VERY comfortable, VERY clean room. The only con was the intermittant sound of traffic from the nearby highway. It wasn't that bad. They did have a white noise machine in the bedroom. I loved the updated, well stocked room and tasteful decorations. I would stay there again.
Great inn. The rooms are spacious and clean! Just wish the pillows had a little life in them as they weren't much more than pancakes. The bed was firm but comfortable and as stated earlier everything was very clean and tidy. Electronics in the room worked as expected as well. I would stay there again.
