The Reynolds House Inn & Motel offers a rustic and charming experience, particularly for attending events at Bethel Woods. Recent renovations are underway, with some areas still in need of improvement, but guests appreciate the affordability, quiet atmosphere, and friendly staff. However, safety concerns and maintenance issues have been reported.
Stayed for 2 nights to go to the concert at Bethel Woods. I enjoyed staying at the motel section of the inn. I find it a rustic and charmning place. Stephanie, the manager is truly a dedicated and ambitious person. She has done so much to the place since she became a manager with the hopes of more renovation and upgrade for all to enjoy. The lnn has much potential to be more successful. My room had all the necessities needed for a short stay and was satisfied even though it was a bit tight moving around when you first enter. It was clean and very quiet, and the room was made up quickly. Stephanie was pleasant and very accomodating. So I wish her much success and will return just to see the changes.
Rustic charm. Clean rooms. And quiet. That’s what I needed just quiet. Room 10’s air conditioner could be replaced. It wasn’t producing cool air.
We stayed here when we went to a concert at bethel woods. About 20 minutes from venue? This is an old house that they are fixing up as I'm posting! It was cozy. Bathroom was very tight and tiny in our room.
What a gem ! It's like staying at your grandmother's house. Comfortable, quiet, quaint. It's not shinny and new, but it is absolutely wonderful. We walked to the Roscoe Diner and took a short drive to the Roscoe Brewery. We will certainly be back, soon, I hope.
I really should have read the recent reviews before booking. This is a $75/night hotel at most. Dangerous deck and stairs, don't even consider letting your children walk around without shoes on. The rooms were outdated, lights didn't work, heat didn't work, a/c did not remove any moisture from the air, windows were so dirty you couldn't see out of them, huge dumpster full of trash and debris in the parking lot. I was rewarded with a flat tire from a nail picked up in the parking lot. The young lady that worked there was about the only good thing. Also, fun walking out to a guy literally in the dumpster going through every piece of trash for at least 3 hours in the morning. I would avoid if possible.
I am writing to provide feedback on my recent stay at the Reynolds House Inn. I believe it is important to share my experience in order to help improve the quality of service and accommodations provided by your establishment. Firstly, I would like to express my gratitude for the kind and professional assistance I received from the staff. The lady who answered the phone was very sweet and accommodating, despite the inn being in the process of transitioning from a closed state to a slow opening for the upcoming season. She worked with me to find a suitable room for myself and my children, ensuring that we had two beds and a bathtub, which was a must for our stay. However, I must bring to your attention some concerns I had regarding the overall condition of the inn. The exterior of the building appeared to be in disrepair, which initially made me hesitant to call and book a room. The front porch, in particular, seemed unsafe to walk on and was in desperate need of attention. While the room itself was clean and appeared to have been recently painted, there were some issues with the bathroom. The bathtub had a dirty and rusty appearance, making it unsuitable for bathing my children. The drain also showed signs of rust and water stains. I understand that the inn is going through a transitional phase, but I believe it is important to address these maintenance and cleanliness concerns to ensure a positive experience for future guests. Thank you for taking the time to review my feedback. I trust that you will address these issues promptly and make the necessary improvements. I look forward to the opportunity of staying at the Reynolds House Inn under more favorable conditions in the future.
Not sure about the Motel, but the actual House is in serious need of updating. Beautiful wood trim throughout the place, but very worn and tired looking. Found exposed wiring in places. Front porch deck is rotting. We stayed in the Gwendolyn Room, which is essentially an attic bedroom. Not for older, out of shape folks like us. Having said that, the Inn was very clean throughout, with a very nice coffee (self) service in the downstairs common room. Might stay there again. Need to see some renovation improvements first .
This place is affordable and cozy. Although I need to run a disclaimer the thermostat on the wall does not work but there is a space heater in the closet. You get a fridge a microwave comfortable beds and a clean room. Seating outside for the smokers the inn offers snacks and coffee to quests. Plenty of places to walk to eat gas station right next door. Cool farmers market next door on Sundays. The town is cute people are friendly.
We stayed in the motel strip for one night for a concert at Bethel Woods nearby and I was very impressed! The room was super clean and smelled fresh, the air conditioning unit was new and worked great, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was spotless with great hot water. What else could you ask for?? Also, the little breakfast area in the house was super cute and had good coffee in the morning. Oh, and don't worry about safety. There was a NY state police office right across the street. Will definitely stay again when we come for another concert.
