We had a wonderful dinner there. The ambiance, food and staff were excellent. We plan to stay over next time. The area is heavily forested and will be spectacular this fall.

This review is about a year late, but well deserved. Our experience with the Blue Fox began last year after a miscommunication with our VRBO rental left us without lodging for the final night of our trip to the Narrowsburg area. We turned to the Blue Fox hoping they could save the day — and they absolutely did. Not only did they find a room for us (including our dog), but Meg, understanding our situation, upgraded us to a lovely private cabin. It was clean, comfortable, and homey, with plenty of space, a separate bedroom, and a small kitchen area. We loved it. The Blue Fox genuinely went out of their way to turn a potential trip?ruiner into a great experience. We even enjoyed the pool on Sunday and had a fantastic time there with friends. The entire property — rooms, cabins, restaurant, and pool — is tucked into a mountainside, giving it a unique and relaxing feel. As for the restaurant: we’ve eaten there three times now — twice in 2025 (including once at the bar) and once this year (also at the bar). We keep bringing friends because the food is tremendous. This year, friends arrived without reservations on a busy night, and Meg and Jorge still went out of their way to accommodate them. The service is consistently incredible, and everyone is friendly. After our meal at the bar this year, we met Jorge. Following a brief, enjoyable conversation, he surprised us with a round of drinks. Moments like that say everything about the kind of place this is. I already had a special affinity for the Blue Fox because of how they helped us last year, but they continue to stand firmly on their merits: wonderful accommodations, great service, and excellent food.

Hi finishing my weekend stay here. I was gonna give this place a 2 star review but the numbers say 3. Really 2+. Is it worth $400+ night? Absolutely not but that’s the price u got to pay to be around here in June. The room is fair. The saving graces is that the king size bed is good the room size is good and it comes with a coffee maker with real ground coffee. Also a refrigerator. Don’t ask for a microwave because you won’t get one. The AC also works well. Otherwise it’s dreary old and smells of mildew. The pool seems fine but hire a gardener to keep up with the trimming. No other real amenities to speak of and haven’t eaten in the restaurant. I cant speak of any service as I had to check in in the restaurant. The location is the real star here as it’s close to town and other things to do. I really loved narrowsburg. Would i recommend it to others? You read my review. Would I stay here again? I would look for an Airbnb first. It wasn’t a horrible stay and served its purpose

Great place to stay and eat while you are in the southern Catskills! The local bar is fun and lively with great drinks. Food is comforting and prepared from scratch, you can tell! Rooms are well appointed and very clean. Definitely recommend!

This review is related to the restaurant only. My husband and I have eaten here quite a few times and have always had an amazing experience. Peter who works the bar makes us feel so welcome and serves a great cocktail. Our food has always been good too, and the atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. We will continue to be back!!

I love the blue fox It’s open everyday, The food is great and the drinks too, The staff is great, the owners too, and there is a sense of welcoming and community. Monday nights for me lately has been coming here to eat homemade Hungarian food, winter weather is perfect for chicken paprikash or beef goulash. The fire place is awesome too Really enjoyed it Thank you to the staff and owners!!

Our review is for the resturant. We have a cabin near by and have been coming to eat at their resturant for about 3 years. We come by about 3-4 times a year. Good resturants in the area are very very limited and this was one on our list. Service is always slow as there aren't enough waiters and cooks but today was by far the worst ever. Place was packed and we immediately ordered our food when we set. After only getting one drink and no bread.. We then asked for bread from the 3 waiters again and again over 30min. After 50 min waiting the waiter came and asked if we got menus.. (We ordered almost 50 min ago!!). Immediately after we were told that they lost our order actually. We put our order again and asked to at least get bread.. After another 20m waiting we just got up and left. We were there for over an hour and who knows when will the food would have arrived.. Really sad since there are so few places around but it was truly rediculus. Goes without saying that everyone were served poorly. One table near by the waiter said he will give everyone drinks on the house since they waited too long and a lady at another table got up to get salt and pepper by herself from the bar after asking for it multiple times for no avail. We won't be back.

The Blue Fox Motel is a gem! It is fun, relaxing, and clean. We booked almost the whole motel for a wedding weekend and it couldn’t have been better. The staff is kind and generous. I am a business owner and I would LOVE to have staff like the management and crew of The Blue Fox. Everyone went out of their way to make our weekend a success. The location is stunning, the decor is relaxing and fun, and the restaurant was great. Love the people, love the place, love the area.

We recently had a mixed experience at a charming, family-run motel. While the hospitality and food were exceptional, the accommodations left something to be desired. ?The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food on-site was absolutely delicious. These two aspects were the definite highlights of our stay and a testament to the care of the people running the establishment. ?However, the condition of the room was disappointing. There was a strong, musty smell, and it was clear that the space had not been thoroughly cleaned, with cobwebs in the corners and mold in the shower. We also found various bugs in the room. Because of these issues, this may not be a suitable choice for guests with allergies or asthma. *I'm adding an edit to my original review after reflecting on my stay. I still think this motel is in a great spot for trying out some delicious local food. However, the condition of the room itself was a major letdown. The musty smell was hard to ignore, and I noticed visible mold in the shower along with a good amount of dust and cobwebs. After getting home and becoming very congested, I now believe I had a sinus infection, and the room's poor air quality was likely a factor. Just a heads-up for others—if you have sensitivities or allergies, this might not be the place for you.

We cannot thank The Blue Fox and the entire staff enough for being the cherry on top of our wedding weekend! They hosted our rehearsal dinner, welcome party by the pool and we rented out a large majority of the hotel for the entire weekend. The views were picturesque, the rooms and houses were all unique and clean! Everyone loved the goats, pickleball court & the pool. Not to mention the FOOD at the rehearsal… unreal, and so much food, no one went home hungry, our families can’t get over how good the chicken lollipops and shrimp ceviche were! Thank you to everyone who helped pull this all off ?? we can’t recommend the blue fox enough for any and all wedding festivities ?
