Food: everything was pretty good but with (sometimes strange) caveats. The salmon was good but the fennel was tough and nearly inedible. Cured salmon belly was underwhelming but ok. Duck was very tasty but my knife was dull. Burger was way too plain. The chicken skins, though...no complaints there, absolutely delicious. Most of drinks we tried were pretty good, nothing spectacular. Service: our waitress was an older woman who seemed to be...trying her best, but her best wasn't particularly good. She forgot drinks multiple times, put down the wrong food in front of people a few times, and overall gave the vibe that we were bothering her, or stressing her out, or something. It made us feel like we just needed to get out of there. Location: stunning vista, great outdoor space with games for the kids, totally lives up to the hype. Overall: wouldn't come back or recommend, unfortunately, unless you were a very small party that won't "overwhelm" the waitstaff.

My family and I came here on the Fourth of July, and we had a wonderful experience. The staff was very accommodating, and the views were absolutely spectacular. The food was delicious, especially the steak. Our server, Jessica, was amazing. She was always smiling, attentive, and made us feel so welcomed. We had a fantastic time and would definitely come back!

Drinks were always refilled, our food came out promptly, and she checked on us just the right amount without being overbearing. her positive attitude and excellent customer service really made our meal enjoyable. It’s hard to find service this great, and we truly appreciated the effort she put into making our visit special. The cidery is so beautiful, we can’t wait to come back! our server, krystalynn, mentioned she was new to the team but she had phenomenal recommendations on both the cider and the food!

I came to new york to visit friends and family and we went to seminary hill for our pre wedding dinner to celebrate. I just want to say this place is absolutely beautiful. The food was phenomenal the views were incredible the drinks were carefully curated. My only complaint is my waitress - Julie I had ordered drinks and about 10 minutes later I went inside to check out the bar and the bartender asked if I wanted a drink but I mentioned I put my order in about 10 mins ago but she was confused because she never received our drink order. The sweet blonde bartender starts making the drinks and then mentions she will have our server send them out but by then shes already taking our food order… no time to enjoy our apps and drinks. Just straight to Entrées other than the wait for drinks and rush for food, everything was so great except I never saw our server again. she greeted and served tables around me and every time I tried to get her attention she blatantly ignored our table. finally after an hour had passed (after we got food and drinks) and all of our glasses and plates were empty (waiting to order another round of drinks) we went and sat at the bar and were served immediately. another 25 minutes go by and she walks behind the bar and tells the bartender she should transfer the check. i look around and there’s 6 tickets with drinks made and ready to go to tables that are just sittttting there. mind you i haven’t heard a word from my server in an hour and a half & even after she told the bartender to transfer the check she still didn’t say a word to us so i can’t imagine how the other tables felt waiting for their now diluted drinks I’ve worked in service for 11 years now & thought i’ve seen it all but the service was something i’ve never experienced and I think seminary hill would benefit greatly by simply hiring a more attentive and professional Sever for this fine establishment

We went for my birthday dinner. The local cheese plate snack with our flight of cider was delicious. My salmon dinner was cooked perfectly and my husband’s steak with fresh herbs was also delicious. When they heard it was my birthday, we were gifted a dessert ice cider. Yum! Our waitress, Danielle, was fantastic. They had my favorite wine: Dr Constantine Frank Gewurztraminer. The Irish folk singer was very talented. Amazing evening.

Danielle was our server, she was super attentive and served us promptly. We’ve been here before, as we visit my wife’s sister once a year. The cider is top notch and the food is awesome.

Had such a great experience at Seminary Hill Cidery! The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully prepared, and the Jess made the whole visit even better. She was attentive, friendly, and made us feel so welcomed from start to finish. The atmosphere was gorgeous and relaxing too. Definitely worth the visit — can’t wait to come back!

Upon arriving at the cidery, we were immediately hit with the overwhelming smell of manure, which unfortunately set the tone for the rest of the experience. My friend and I ordered a flight since we usually enjoy a wide variety of ciders, but we genuinely didn’t like any of the six we picked. Most tasted flat and oddly similar to one another, with none really standing out. We also ordered a few snacks from the very limited menu, which were okay at best. What really made the experience off-putting, though, was the atmosphere from the staff. I had to walk over to the bar to ask for an extra glass because they only brought one for the bottle of cider we ordered.. so imagine my shock when later a waitress walked up to our table, took my glass directly in front of me without saying anything, and walked away with it. The whole visit felt like we were interrupting the staff while they were getting ready for something else. Between that and people working on laptops around the space, the vibe felt more awkward than welcoming. The view is nice, though.

This is one of our favorite restaurants upstate, we always make sure to stop by. The view is breathtaking and the food and drinks are consistently delicious. Our server Jess was attentive and welcoming when we were here last, looking forward to our next visit!

Such a cool place! The atmosphere is rustic and elevated, and the staff is very kind and knowledgeable. Mark gave an excellent tour, and Danielle and Ally were absolutely fantastic servers. Would definitely recommend checking it out if you get the chance!
