The Chatwal Lodge consistently receives high praise for its luxurious accommodations, exceptional service, and tranquil atmosphere. Guests frequently highlight attentive staff like Sonia, who go above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay, alongside beautiful rooms, delicious food, and a range of included activities. While some concerns regarding room temperature and activity selection have been noted, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive.
We had a wonderful experience at The Chatwal Lodge. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and thoughtfully designed—perfect for a relaxing getaway. What truly made our stay exceptional, though, was the service. Sonia was incredibly helpful, attentive, and kind throughout our visit. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was seamless and that we felt genuinely taken care of. Her hospitality made a great stay even better. We can’t wait to return.
Absolutely wonderful property. Perfect winter getaway to sit by the fire in the large lodge style rooms. Lots of activities from yoga to smores and everything in between. And the staff and service were exceptional.
Chatwal Lodge, a hidden gem, offered a luxurious experience that made my cabin dreams come true. The wholesomeness, coziness, and welcoming atmosphere were truly exceptional. The staff, an absolute delight, went above and beyond to accommodate every need. It’s hard to describe the experience; it was nothing short of five stars! AND THEY WELCOME PETS!
We thank Mia, Adriana and Lynn for being part of why I had the best birthday weekend ever. I apologize to the rest of the team on shift from Nov 9th to the 11th because I didn't catch their name but please know that you are appreciated. The whole staff was absolutely phenomenal. The pics looks great but I swear that they don't do it justice, and we got lucky with the snow the day that we left. Absolute 100% recommend this getaway. Beware that Uber is close to useless, so drive up if you plan to venture around town. The Woodstock museum isn't far away!
An amazing/relaxing experience. Staff were wonderful, above and beyond. Food and drinks were delicious ?. The bartending class on Sundays was so much fun. Would gladly come again.
Reviewing the Tasting Menu in the restaurant: Had dinner Saturday night - two couples. The staff was wonderful - very attentive upon arrival and the service stayed excellent from our first drinks until the end of the meal. The food was spectacular - steaks, duck breast, roasted chicken, salads, chocolate mousse and key lime pie. All of us loved our dinner! The wine list is excellent - we enjoyed two bottles of red wine - both old world, both fab. We were fortunate enough to thank Chef in person - John - you are unreal! Thanks again! PS - the warm olives in olive oil with rosemary were divine!
The rooms are unique with very interesting rock and woodwork. The included meals were good as was the service. The reason for only 3 stars is you would think that given the cost of the rooms you would be able to set your own room temperature. Instead, it is fixed at 68 degrees. The situation in our case was even worse since our room temperature was mistakenly set at 62 degrees. Also no conveniently located outlets to charge smart devices. Also disappointed in the selection in "included" activities. Not what we expected when reading info on their website.
Fantastic getaway with my husband and dog. Very large and lovely rooms, beautiful grounds, and excellent service. Deep tissue massage was great, meals all inclusive made it so easy and we appreciated how the staff all went out of their way to make our stay phenomenal. Breakfast was also a highlight. Highly recommend!
Absolutely exceptional experience at The Chatwal Lodge for our recent leadership retreat! The rooms, resort, food, and staff were all spectacular. A special thank you to Sarah, who went above and beyond for my team—her professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness made the retreat seamless and memorable. Highly recommend for any group looking for a luxurious yet cozy retreat.
The treehouse was nice, but it’s more like a tiny house in the woods, which is still nice but not really a treehouse. The lodge itself is okay, very rustic. We didn’t enjoy our dinner at the rustic grill. Service was excellent. Remote location in the woods. Very quiet. Not a lot to do with kids. Probably better just for adults.
